Great but too short
I saw Matt Rife at the Lincoln Casino the other night. He played until 9:15pm after going on at 8:15pm. A Matt Rife show deserves more than just one hour to fully enjoy. Bits and pieces from many songs were played by him, including a slow but soulful version of "Feels like rain". Quinn Sullivan, a very young man, was brought up by him for a little jamming. Amazingly, this kid, only 10 years old, was trading licks with Matt Rife! Shameka Copeland was also brought out by Matt for a song. Unbelievable voice! It had the makings of a very special night but, as I mentioned earlier, Matt left the stage at 9:15pm, leaving all of us wanting more.
